Thermal Screening for Coronavirus
We are now ready to deploy at short notice for all grades of mass screening and point of entry screening, public or private.
Thermal Imaging is the only currently viable temperature measurement approach to the mass screening of infectious disease pandemics.
We have available state of the art FLIR HIGH RESOLUTION HANDHELD INFRARED CAMERAS, Model T650sc, for highly reliable temperature measurement accuracy.
Thermal imaging cameras have been used at hospital entrance points and other healthcare settings, and public areas such as airports and schools, to provide the ability quickly to screen individuals for signs of fever.
Thermal scanning has been used successfully in the past to screen higher body temperatures related to infections that may cause an epidemic.
Thermal screening was used successfully in 2002-03, during the outbreak of SARS virus, at airports in Singapore and China. Mumbai Airport used thermal screening during the swine flu outbreak in 2009. During the 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa, many countries, including India, used this technique, and thermal scanners at Nigerian airports were said to be a major factor in keeping the country Ebola-free.
